Our Next theatre production “Music Makes Me Feel Good” will take place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March 2018 at Melton Theatre. All pupils, with the exception of our Adult Basics classes, are invited to participate in the production.

Students Choreography Competition

All our students are invited to join our choreography competition taking at Cotgrave Scout Hall on Sunday 19th November
Students can create their own routine in a dance style of their choice as a solo duo or trio. Each pupil can enter as many times as they wish. Maximum of 2 minutes long per routine. You’ll need to provide your own music and costumes.

Entrants will be divided in to 2 age groups 5-9 and 10+ and there will be prizes for each age group .
The entrance fee is £3 per person per dance.

Competition to be held at Cotgrave Scout Hall 19th November at 10.30am
Spectators are very welcome, £1 each, pay on the door.

All entrants must submit a entry for with their payment by 15th October.

Ballet Basics Adult Classes

Lots of people contact us wanting to dance Ballet as adult but find joining an established class very daunting as a beginner. Sound familiar? Then you need Ballet Basics. A series of 8 – 10 classes aimed at adults with little or no ballet experience Ballet Basics works to develop an understanding of ballet vocabulary and technique enabling students to move on to intermediate level classes when confident. You will be given lots of information and hands on corrections to ensure you have a solid understanding of ballet in a friendly relaxed complicated routines, tutus or ballet lingo here! Dancing is a fantastic way to burn calories, improve muscle tone and posture, build stamina all while having fun and learning new skills.

Tap Basics Adult Classes

Following on from our Ballet Basics lessons we are now introducing the same idea with Adult Tap classes. Aimed at complete beginners wanting to learn to tap a series of 8 -10 lessons to help develop basic steps and confidence in the fundamentals of Tap to give a step up to intermediate level classes. Our next beginners course starts in OCtober 2017, please contact us to sign up now as places are limited.

Here at K2 Dance Academy we are always keen to get more people dancing – from those who have danced for years, childhood dancers who have not dug out their dancing shoes for some time or even if you have never set foot on a dance floor before we have a class for you, either beginners or our established advanced classes.

Advanced Adult Tap: Monday 7.00 – 7.45pm at Cotgrave Scout Hall
